    SAN FRANCISCO (August 1, 2012) – One of the most visually striking and technologically advanced dealerships in the country opened its doors last quarter after an extensive yearlong renovation. The seven level, 200,000 square foot building has been home to many different dealerships since opening in 1935 and today sets a new standard for showroom excellence.

    Located in the heart of San Francisco’s exclusive automotive retail district on Van Ness Avenue, this new Nissan Infiniti dealership reinvents the Ellis Brooks Building into a state-of-the-art retail flagship for the future in showroom design. Nissan, Infiniti, the Penske Automotive Group and i.M. Branded have infused their industry expertise, transforming this historic landmark into the next generation of automotive retail.

    Both dealerships are owned and operated by the Penske Automotive Group (PAG), one of the largest automotive retailers in the world. i.M. Branded has a longstanding relationship with PAG, participating in the design of countless dealerships across the country including the company’s highest profile projects. PAG needed a company providing the skill level necessary to complete the Nissan Infiniti San Francisco dealerships, which is why they called on the expertise of i.M. Branded.

    Working closely with the dealer-client and corporate design teams of Nissan, Infinity and PAG; i.M. Branded developed all of the signage throughout the building from small directional signage to vibrant life-size wall graphics and custom built millwork. Everything but the chairs were custom designed to meet and exceed OEM standards, creating an unforgettable customer experience in a beautiful retail environment.

    The automotive retail market is more competitive than ever, making custom designed millwork and graphics packages ideal for elevating your showroom above the rest. i.M. Branded works closely with OEM image programs to balance OEM showroom expectations with unique dealer environments. Nissan Infiniti San Francisco called upon i.M. Branded to tailor their OEM image programs to create unique brand identities, and show their customers what sets them apart from the competition.

    From the moment you enter the door you’re surrounded by the best in design and technology. Aesthetics set the tone by complementing and highlighting unique, high tech, upscale, cutting edge features throughout the dealership. Staff are equipped with e-tablet information displays throughout the building including tablet information devices for consumer engagement, nine electric vehicle charging stations, 22 service and six vehicle detailing bays. All surrounded by uniquely custom interior design on every floor.

    Offering new and used vehicle sales for both Nissan and Infiniti, every customer touch point on all seven levels required careful attention to design from floor to ceiling to perfectly capture the personality of the individual brands. State-of-the-art graphics created and installed by i.M. Branded visually define the brands, bringing to life the essence of each brand message; every floor transforms the customer experience to new heights.

    i.M. Branded brings extensive knowledge of OEM program requirements into every piece. All millwork is built to exacting finish standards of Nissan and Infiniti OEM programs. i.M. Branded created and installed all way-finding signage throughout the building, name plates, cut letters, and 110 pieces of graphic signage. This project also features an exciting new application for AMR’s (Artist Mural Replaceable) hung over the windows to create a backlit effect in daylight. The high amount of attention paid to every detail shows throughout the building; from the entry level showroom appropriate for a 5 star hotel, to the service tech shop and vehicle garages decorated in branded wall graphics.

    This dealership is a game-changer for traditional automotive showroom design and the i.M. Branded team is proud to be a part of such an impressive project.
