Project Manager - Graphics

The Project Manager is responsible for the on time and cost optimizing delivery of all graphics projects assigned to them by the Graphics Program Manager. With these obligations, the Project Manager is expected to ensure a world-class experience for customers throughout a project’s lifecycle. The Project Manager will obtain critical project data from customers and field reps alike and accurately disseminate this data to internal stakeholders who will help to facilitate the project’s completion. This position will monitor and manage every phase of a graphics job through effective communication and coordination with other functional areas of the Company (account reps, design, production, install, etc.), in addition to communication with customers. Furthermore, this role is tasked with assisting in the determination of project resource requirements and the creation of project schedules and budgets and then monitoring those schedules and budgets to ensure they’re met. The Project Manger will consistently review customer orders to ensure accurate and on-time product delivery, while, at the same time, monitoring costs to ensure estimates are met or beaten.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include, but are not limited to):

  • Manage assigned jobs during their lifecycle to ensure optimal profitability through effective planning/organization and monitoring of each job phase
  • Ensure the timely and quality fulfilment of customer orders through communication, coordination, and teamwork with other functional areas
  • Assist in determining production timing/prioritization through planning with various stakeholders (Graphics & Graphic Production areas, Design, etc.) and work with these parties to implement new products and/or processes
  • Effectively communicate information, issues, requests, & other pertinent items to internal and external parties to ensure high levels of satisfaction
  • Review customer orders for accuracy

·      Enter pertinent data into Company cost accounting systems as needed

  • Maintain current knowledge of the millwork and graphics fields, specifically staying abreast of materials used or pertinent technological advances

  • Other duties as assigned by Manager/Company Management

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES(include but are not limited to):

  • Proficiency with computers and the MS Office Suite including Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Extensive knowledge of graphics production materials & techniques
  • Detailed, with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
  • Critical thinking/problem solving skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS(include but are not limited to):

  • The ability to stay seated for extended periods working at a computer
  • Will occasionally walk around to coordinate work or engage coworkers


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of demonstrated success managing graphics projects/programs from a cost, quality and customer relations perspective
  • Demonstrated successful experience working both autonomously and with others in a fast paced environment, requiring strong attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as a graphics fabricator and/or a graphic designer
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business and/or Project Management certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Some minor exposure to saw dust created in product fabrication
  • Exposure to the sounds of a variety of shop machinery (saws, etc.)
